I think my perspective about my topic change as a result of my research findings. I have different ideas about my final project. In blog one I said that i wanted to know what kinds of new technology to appear in the future schools, and I wanted to introduce some new technologies. After I did some researchers about my topic, I discovered a big problem that is funding. Funding is big issue in the future education. Today, many students cannot use technology at schools or home because schools and families do not have enough money to pay for technology. They cannot get enough money from the federal government. If schools cannot improve technology to students, we cannot make any future plans. I want to focuses on how to help all students can use technologies forever and achieve sustainability that is important thing for the future. If schools cannot offer technologies to all students, it can effect our future education. In my final project, I want to discuss that how to help schools plan technologies for the future, and how to help schools get more money to support technology education.

My newly-acquired knowledge about this topic will affect my future teaching endeavors because I know that technology plays an important role in the future planning. In the future, I need to teach students how to use technology correctly, and I should focused on E-responsibility. I hope we can eliminate the digital divide in the future.  When I am a teacher, I  need to teach more students new skills. Now, I need to learn more technology skills when I learn in the university. I can help more students to use technology, so I need to have good technology skills, and I need to know some new lessons that incorporate authentic use of technology. On the other hand, teachers should have good relationship with parents because they can work together to help students learning. I need to learn some tools that can help me to communicate with parents.

Today, an increasing number of students are using technology, or learning how to use different types of technology in the school or home. I think the funding currently is having a positive impact on the future planning because it makes students have a beautiful future. Funding for educational technology can eliminate the digital divide in the future. Today, many people around the world do not have equal access to technology because they do not have money to pay for it. According to the article “Federal Funding for Education Technology and How It Is Used in the Classroom: A Summary of Findings from the Integrated Studies of Educational Technology”, the E-rate program provides discounts to assist most schools and libraries in the United States to obtain affordable telecommunications and Internet access. E-rate program helps poor schools to families to solve the cost problem, so it can make more student has an equal opportunity to use technology. If we have a larger budget, schools have more funds to provide the better technology and teachers training that can make more students learn more knowledge in the future. Therefore, education funds are good for the future planning.

 The Benefits of Access to Technology

There are two benefits that can be obtained from access to technology in the future. First of all, it will offer electronic paper screens to students. Students do not need to buy any papers and pens for their course. They can use electronic paper screens to do homework or take notes. Another benefit of access to technology is that it would give more online educational games to students. Students can play many different kinds of games in their free time, and these games also help students learn some skills. Today, many people do not have equal access to technology because they do not have money to pay for it. People affected by the digital divide might gain access to these benefits through two ways. The first way would be that the governments provide more free wireless networks in public places, such as shopping malls, libraries and parks. When people need wireless networks, they can go to the public places to use the Internet. The other way is that some companies offer free or reduced prices for students or people who live in a low-income family and can not afford it. These two ways can give some opportunities to use technology.

Blog Post 1

I chose “Sustainability: Future planning” for final project. There are some reasons about why I chose this education technology core issue and subtopic. First of all, I think technology is a main role in the education, so we need to value educational technology in the future. The other reason is that I want to know what kinds of new technological that teachers can improve to the K12 students in the future, and students can get what kinds benefits from these new technological. The third reason is that I want know what kinds of new technological children hope to appear in their lives and learning. I read some articles about the technology plans that were very interesting. Therefore, the last reason is that I hope I can have some ideas that can help children or students learning.

I believe I can learn many different things from this process. First, I can learn some new technological devices that teachers use in the classroom today. I am not only learning new devices, and I also can know how schools make students get more benefits from the new technological. I can learn how teachers use technology to improve or help teaching in the future. I think high technological devices can affect teaching styles, and bring some benefits to students, so it can affect me when I am a teacher in the future. If I know enough knowledge, I can give students good education, and give them more helpers.

          Today, many children spend between 6-8 hours a day in the technology. It becomes a serious problem, but I think schools should emphasize the use of technology in the classroom. First of all, schools use technology that can help teacher to teach. students can learn many knowledge from the technology. On the other hand, schools use the technology cannot effect children.  Children spent more time in the technology that is family education problem. It is not schools responsibilities, and it is praents' responsibilities. In sum, school should emphasize the use of technology in the classroom.
