According to article, “Digital Divide Is 'Major Challenge' In Teaching Low-Income Students, Survey Finds”, the survey reveals that 56 percent of teachers who work with low-income students say that their students' lack of access to digital technology is a "major challenge" to using quality online resources in their lessons. Lack of access to technology hinders student success, and it also affects teachers’ teaching in the classrooms. Today many schools cannot offer computers or the Internet to students in the classrooms, and some low-income families cannot offer computers to their children. Students do not have chance to use computers doing homework at home or schools. The reason is that schools and families do not have enough money to pay for the Internet and computers. When students cannot use computers or the Internet that cause the digital divide. If we want to get a sustaining technology education, and plan for the future, we need to solve the huge problem. I think it is big obstacle that we need to face.

 As Johnson said, millions of students in the U.S. don’t have access to high-speed Internet services at home and it’s hurting their chances for academic success. Lack of access to technology limits teachers’ teaching in the classrooms. Sometimes, teachers want to utilize computers showing some videos in the classes, but schools cannot offer the Internet. Teachers cannot provide any resources from the Internet to help students learning. Many students may not have technology in their homes or have access only when technology is available at schools. It is not good for students, and teachers’ teaching. Currently, we need to ensure students have access to these technologies, and educating students how to utilize these technologies. These actions can help schools plan technologies for the future. When we solve the problem, and help more students can access to technology, we can easily plan for the future edtech.

There are other obstacle to exit in technology education. Today, many students do not have opportunities to use technology in the schools. Schools also cannot provide appropriate curriculum to students. Teachers cannot design some curriculum that make student use technology. Teachers do not know how to make curriculum and technology together. Many teachers use traditional ways to teach students, and students use tradition way to learn because their curriculum do not need to utilize technology. When students do not enough time and opportunities to learn and use technology, they can forget or do not want to use it. School do not make technology and integrate into the curriculum.Without good technical support, technology in the classroom will never be satisfactorily achieved.

Technical support is very important thing in the technology education.  Today, many schools do not have enough technology coordinators to maintain computers. Students use some computers that are not working in the classes. It can affect student learning.  In the class, when teachers are trying to use technology in their classrooms and they encounter difficulties, they need immediate help and support. No professional coordinators help teachers solving these problems. It can affect teachers educating students.  Some schools do not have people update hardware and software that can make students and teachers use some slow computers. Schools have more computers that are not working, and no people fix them. It can make students do not have computers to use. If no people do equipment upgrades and regular maintenance, it can affect teachers teaching and students learning.

In my country, many schools provide technology to students, but they cannot provide good teachers and curriculum to students. Many teachers do not know how to use computers, and they also do not know how to teach students technology skills. Many teachers did not learn computers skills when they learned in the universities. When they are working in the schools, they can simply use computers, but they cannot improve good skills to students. schools do not provide some training to teachers because they do not enough time and money. Students can use computers in the class, but they learn some simply skills. These skills are not enough for students’ future working and learning.
   

We can see, there are some problems and obstacles in the technology education. I think these obstacles are produced by lack of funding. Lack of funding makes schools cannot offer a good education to students. It limit schools plan for the future because they cause many obstacles to schools and teachers.Schools cannot get enough money, so they cannot offer enough computers to students. Schools do not have enough money, so they cannot train teachers to teach students. In the finally, schools do not have enough money, so they cannot employ enough coordinators to maintain computers, and offer professional knowledge. Now, we find out the big problem, and we need to solve the problem. When we eliminate these problems, we can plan for the future very well.
